What I Offer

One session lasts approximately 1.5 to 2 hours; this includes an introduction where we meet and you share what is happening in your life, what brings you here and what you are intending to gain as a result of participating in these sessions.

The breathwork in itself takes around 60 minutes in total. The session requires the preparation of a soft set up (yoga mat, mattress, blankets and pillows, etc), although depending on your body’s needs at the time, you may switch between lying down, sitting or standing up. During a session, it is highly likely that bodywork and touch will be present.
The final part of the session is integration when you return to your original individual way of breathing and you rest until your system’s experience is complete. There will also be time for you to share your view on the experience and to reflect and acknowledge this process.

There are a few health conditions when this method may not be safe or beneficial.

The contradictions are:

  • diabetes
  • untreated high blood pressure
  • heart disease
  • epilepsy
  • untreated asthma
  • if you are on heavy medication
  • severe psychiatric symptoms – particularly psychosis or paranoia
  • bipolar disorder
  • osteoporosis
  • recent surgery
  • any person with mental illness who isn’t in treatment or lacks adequate support
  • it would not be beneficial for those who are pregnant
  • people under the age of 17 years old
